Physics of Organisations is a web-site dedicated to finding useful (!) links between the many concepts of physics and those in organisations.
As you can see, this site is very much under development, so please feel free to contact me if you have any ideas!
I am a firm believer that an organization can not be modelled, so the purpose of this web site is to find measures etc that can guide the understanding and future direction of organisations.
Our first emphasis will be on All kinds of scales Forces • errors • complexity growth
But before we can start we need to visit Sir Isaac Newton! I have been greatly inspired by a book i am reading (), so Newton it is! What we are working on Newton Looking for inverse square laws! Strategic Timescales Ingredients are: How quickly can a person/sub-unit/unit in an organisation change? How quickly can an organisation follow outside change? How quickly can a strategy change an organisation? Strategic Forces What is the threshold above which an organisation will be pulled apart by an external force? Any comments? please email us
